MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
Zeph is a GREAT teacher. He loves what he is doing and it definitely shows. He is more than willing to help his students be successful. The exams are fairly. If you do the review then you can pretty much get at least a B.The homework problems are given to the students at the begging of the semester so if you miss a day of class you know what problems to make up. The day after the homework is assigned students can ask questions of they do not understand the problem. |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
I love zeph! he is a really good teacher and he always try the make the learning experience fun. He is a really great teacher and he is good at what he does. |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
He was an amazing teacher. I took the class online and he was quick to respond to my questions and was really easy going. I dreaded this class like the plague but if I had to do it over again, I would take the same class from Zeph. If you want to do a class online but wanted a teacher that would work with you a bit more than some others, go for Zeph. |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
I really lucked out getting this instructor. It was my first semester of college and I didn't know what to expect, but Zeph was very helpful and understanding. The tests were awesome. They covered almost the exact same things I would study when I prepared for the test. (I mostly read through the homework) I love how the whole site is made out. It's simple and easy to understand. I would definitely take this teacher again if I can! ~(I liked it so much~I recommended him to my little brother)~ |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
great teacher. His examples teach you everything you need to know about the concepts. I would recommend this teacher to everyone |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
Zeph takes the time to show more than one way to work a problem; broadening the students knowledge of math and teaching to more than one learning style. He shows tricks to solving some problems that can drastically simplify the math work. He enjoys his work and it shows through his teaching. His class was very entertaining and beneficial. I would take him for any other math class I needed if he taught it. |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
Zeph is amazing. I sincerely wish I would have taken all of my math classes from him. He understands that not all of us are going to college to study math. Don't take math from anyone else!! |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
I took this class online and he was very helpful! He always made sure to give us extra time if needed and tell us what to do to be ready for the exams. If you are going to take an online math class you should really take it from him. |

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
He really makes you do your homework, you stand up in front of the class and have to do problems on the board. If you don't want to do the work, don't come to class!!oh yes and Never ever forget your RED PEN!!He said at the beginning of the course that he would be the best prof ever, and he really came through. I wish he could teach all my courses :( |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
He makes sure your Listening. |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
He was the best teacher I ever had. He explained math in a way that the formulas actually made sense. I took Math 100 the previous semsester from another professor and did not pass, but when I took the course from Hass, I couldn't belive how much I was actually grasping. His class is very time consuming, but very benficial. I wish I could have him for all of my classes, he is a fantastic teacher. |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
One of the best teachers I've ever had, class was never boring |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra

||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
Great teacher! Hass was able to present material in a way that no steps were overlooked... He provided notes that became invaluable. Aside from the actual class, Hass was able to offer advice and opinions that have been formed from years of experience. He was always willing to spend time with you before or after class to make sure you took home a basic understanding of the material. |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
Hass was my first math professor at SLCC. He runs a tight ship, so to speak, but he set me on the right path for future math classes. He likes teaching the lower math classes because he says they set the foundation for the rest of your math courses. Which I can attest to, now that I have taken several since 1010. Highly encourages the use of a red pen when note taking, as it makes the important notes stand out in your mind. It works, and I still use that stupid red pen now! Expects you to work and put in the effort, but also will explain things to you if you need help. Also raises your final grade one whole letter (ex. B+ up to A-) at the end of the semester, if you participate in class when he asks. Good teacher. Highly recommended. |

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
I loved this teacher! I would take all my math classes from her. She is exactly what every student wants when getting a math teacher. She explains things clearly, she tests only the material she teaches about, and gives chances for extra credit!! She is well organized and stays on schedule.Highly recommended. |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
I had math 1060 with her and I can't say anything negative. She gave some extra credit points, she was always fair grading the homework or exams! And she is a great teacher... |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
Jenny was very thorough in her teaching and took time to review homework that students had questions on before moving on to the next section.Attending class is a must if you want to do well in 1010. If you miss a class, you have a high chance of being totally lost.The homework assigned averaged about 5-6 hours a week, but was fair and helped me really understand math better.There are 5 mid-terms and 1 final. She also requires one set of homework to be turned in, however, she gives the opportunity to get extra credit. One is worth 75 points and the other is worth 25 points. |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
She was an AMAZING teacher. Funny and when someone asked a question she did act like it was annoying or anything. Explain everything very well and really wanted her students to understand and succeed. I would take ALL my math classes with her if I could. There was not very much homework at all. and Tons of extra credit. |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
She is great. She knows her stuff and gives tests that are do able. Lots of extra credit. |

Cindy is the best instructor out there! her class is never boring, she's always making you laugh, homework is due on test day but! can bring it some other day if not finished! she is so understanding! and always trying to help you out!.. she's funny and lovely! im still in her class and i'd gotta say that im going to miss her LOTS! what i love most about her class is... that she gives you huge oppourtunities to lift up your grade! if you had a bad grade on the exam she lets you do a REGRADE (fix your own test in other words.. ) and gives the points back! she calls it EARNING POINTS BACK :) i love her! Take her! i happily and HIGLY reccommend her!... you wont regret it! :) |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
Cindy was an awesome teacher! At the first of the semester, I thought that she was way to fast....Now I learned that she goes fast but also gives you shortcuts so that you can do the problems faster and easier! She is the sweetest teacher ever! She will spend extra time in helping you so that you will understand! She gives you alot of second chances in being able to boost your grade up by doing regrades and extra credit! I would take from Cindy anytime! She is the best teacher! |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
one word she awesome. she makes class fun. with her positivte aatitude and williingness to see her students be the best they can. her little jingles she sings to help you remember formulas great i found myself singing them everywhere. take as many classes as you can from her |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
She is an inspiring teacher who proves through her own life example that you can do well in math even if you are female and juggling many other roles and responsibilities in life while you are going to school. She made math a fun subject and helped me reach my potential. I was able to get an A in her class, which I did not expect when I registered for the class. |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra

Wow! Chuck is an awesome teacher. I highly recommend him, especially if you have struggled with math in the past. He has new and interesting ways of presenting the material. He uses stories and analogies to help you understand why you are doing what you are doing, instead of just remembering the mechanics of it. He really cares if you get the stuff. He has created his own notes that can be purchased separately, and he also has DVD's of every lecture. They were lifesavers for me because I couldn't attend every class. |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
This guy is the best teacher that I have ever had in college. There aren't that many teachers that are willing to stay with you for however long they need to after class to make sure that you understand. This teacher really wants everybody to succeed and does the best he can to help you achieve success! |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
good practical explanations with real word examples of why you need to know this type of Math. Funny stories. He makes math humorous and easy to learn. I highly recommend picking up his study guide from Advanced Copy just south of Redwood Campus. Whether you're a fast or slow learner it allows you to review the lessons at your own pace.If you miss a test due to a work or family emergency, he allows you to make it up without any loss of credit! Wow! |

He is a well focused instructor. He keeps math simple. He's got a sense of humor and he doesn't even know it. He was always making our class laugh. I really enjoyed his class.. |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
He keeps it simple and doesn't try to trick you on tests. His tests are multiple choice and he doesn't check your homework but gives you full credit if you turn it in on time. He is good at answering questions and give lots of examples from the homework so you know what your doing when you sit down to complete it. You also don't have to show your work on tests, and I liked that cause I do most of the steps in my head and could finish faster. He takes time to teach material thoroughly so you actually understand the concepts. |

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
good teacher that presented material in a reasonable way. points given for homework and practice exams. Answered any questions at the beginning of class about previous material and worked through difficult problems on the board. |

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
She was the worst teacher I have ever had especially if your a guy. Every time i emailed her for help she would tell me to go get a tutor, I asked her where the tutoring center was she never responded, her tests were always different than the material and homework you study, myself and 5 others had to drop her |

Ping Yu

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
Mr. Yu had good classroom demeanor and was friendly with the whole class, easing any strains. His attitude was flexible in that homework was for the sections was due the day of the test and there were 5 tests plus the School-wide department final. Homework is on the honor system and he required approximately 1/3 of the chapter exercises, and not all chapters were covered. Most problems were the odd exercises so you could check your answers. Occasionally he would recommend doing all of them if it was a particularly important section but never required. He would go over any questions the next day for any of the section homework until all were satisfied. Exams were 20-25 questions, 2-4 open endes to show your work including 2-4 bonus questions each time. The remaining are multiple choice. The final was the same, without bonus questions and a total of 30 problems. Attendance was not neccessary, though he mentioned students tended to score higher if they were present for lectures. Overall, he went out of his way to help us and I feel he gave me everything I put into his class. |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
If you attend class he will teach you the easiest way to solve math problems. He makes sure you know what to expect to be tested on. His experience teaching has shown what material students normally have problems with and common mistakes so he tells you what to focus on. He is friendly and his accent is hilarious especially when he says certain terms like "curly bracket". He spent time reviewing concepts if students asked. He recommended doing homework but let you write at the top what percent you completed, so it wasn't really mandatory. If you're good at Math you'll probably like his teaching style. |

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
He was funny and kind. Also very understanding of life's circumstances and allowed you to make up the tests without hassle if you weren't able to make it on the scheduled day. If you did your homework he gave you full credit for it which was 10% of your grade. I think he was very reasonable on homework load and I like the way he graded tests. He gives you partial credit for the problems you got wrong if you atleast got some of the steps right rather than marking it totally wrong and giving you no credit like most teachers do. I thought he was very fair in grading. |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
He really knows what he is teaching. He expects you to have done the homework and usally checks it after an exam. He tries to explain things so that you understand. He makes the work look so easy and he teaches some short cuts that make life easy.The exam is made up of stuff that he wrote on a piece of paper and handed out to the class. The average question amount is 9 or 10 questions. He gives tests every two weeks or so on the stuff you did. |

Excellent teacher. I was really scared to get back into math, after so many years not thinking about it, but she explained everything so well. She even allows you to do test corrections, which are a huge boost to your grade. |
||

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
She was a great teacher overall. She walked us through the study guides for each chapter. She also wrote a study guide for each chapter test; which comes in really handy. She also gave us a chance to correct our tests to improve our grade. She was always willing to answer questions from students. |

MATH 1010 Intermediate Algebra
She is a good teacher. Always has an easy way to explain things. She doesn't want you to memorize all formulas,but she wants you to understand what are you doing. She explains and responds at any question you have. You will be nice surprised when the exam comes. She didn't seem to care about attention, but on calculus level attending the class helps a lot. Fair grades. No stress during exams and class. Freedom of using the calculator any time you want. |
