MATH 1111 College Algebra
She is one of the BEST math teachers I have ever had!! I can't say enough. She really cares about your success and understands that not everyone is strong at math. She hands out a syllabus at the beginning of the semester and sticks to it. Each class, she teaches a new lesson from the book and assigns homework covering the material. Although homework is assigned each class, the homework load is reasonable so long as you take good notes. She works out every problem on the board and makes even the most difficult material seem easy. I learned so much from her. If you don't understand something, feel free to ask her in class. She is more than willing to work it out on the board. |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
She explained all the lessons in detail. the class begins by asking questions on the homework. You usaully do 1-2 lessons per day. You have a week to do the Mathxl homework. There is usaully a quiz each week, which are 10 points, but 11 questions and no partial credit... she does give partial credit on tests though. her tests are pretty easy.. your final grade will replace the lowest test grade. her attendence policy: each day will count minus one on a quiz grade, and that quiz grade will replace your lowest quiz score. you don't have to bring your book to class which is nice! |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
Professor Ragsdale is wonderful! She is very helpful; she explains everything very thoroughly and will go over a problem as many times as it takes to get you to understand. The homework from the book is optional and the homework online is super easy! |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
She always offers extra credit. Her notes are very clear. Easy final. Don't even need the book, all HW is on MathXL. |

MATH 1111 College Algebra
Professor Feldser is honestly the kindest math teacher I've ever had. He understood that this class (MATH1111) was designed for marketing students who don't normally do well in complex math, and taught according to our needs. He would often teach two or more methods for the same type of problem, which I thought was fabulous. He's always ready and willing to answer questions you have or just rap about your bad day. I love him! |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
Prof. Feldser is awesome! He is available and will take the time to explain any questions. I took this course online. The last math class I had was in the 1970s. I was a little afraid but Prof. Feldser made the class easy to follow. He has 4 exams. We met on Saturdays for the exams and the time window was 6 hrs. (10-4p). We could take the entire 6 hrs. if necessary. If you couldn't attend on Sat. then he would arrange another time for the test. The tests were multiple choice (20 questions) and show your work (5 questions). He gave you back your tests for you to use to study for the final. He also posted an answer key. There was homework using MathXL. There was no reason not to get 100 on the homework because you could work the problems until you got them right. It did take a lot of time to work the homework, at least for me. Also, if you did the homework and did well on the first 3 tests he exempted you from the final. I would take a class with him again, in fact I signed up for his Math 1106 class for Spring semester. |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
I love Mr. Feldser! He is the best math teacher I have ever had. He used MyMath Lab, which requires some time, but it is really helpful. He is really open to helping anyone, and he wants everyone to do well. He's great! |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
It's online, so I can view lectures or do homework on my time. I didn't have to sit through the first month of lectures on stuff I already knew!!!!!! :D I was able to do the first month's homework (which was easy review for me) in less than 4 hours. Definite time saver. Homework uses MyMathLab...about 12-20 problems to solve every week with an unlimited number of attempts to get them right! 3 exams and a final....lowest grade gets dropped. All are multiple choice! Students in the top 10% of class grades after Exam 3 are exempt from the final! |

MATH 1111 College Algebra
Love this professor! Once you get past his gruff exterior he is truly a wonderful teacher. Will spend all the time you need answering questions and going over material (even if you were absent when he went over the same question yesterday). Great policy about open book tests except the final, which has the same questions as the other tests just with different numbers. And gives 10 bonus pts just for showing up almost every day. |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
This guy is great!!! He is funny, and relates math to relationships. He doesn't keep you till the end of class. He communicates very effectively and has a lot of patience. He will makes you think why the answer is how it is instead of just telling you how it is. Attendance not required. His grading scale is out of 600pts 4 tests = 400, 1 final = 100 and homework = 100. 540 pts = A. All the hw is done online and is worth a test grade. 25 questions per test, multiple choice. He lets you keep the tests. Final is 40 questions multiple choice and comes from the four tests, he will just change the numbers. He gives 10 bonus points for attendance and gives out if you come to the class after thanksgiving or the class after spring break. Buying the book is very helpful. I'm on track to make and A. I made 88, 92, and 92 on the first 3 test. If your final is higher than one of your test, than is replace the lower test grade. I would definitely take another class with him. |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
He really knows what he is talking about. Also, all of your homework is online and you can keep trying to do problems until you get them right so you can always make a 100 for a homework grade. His grading system is also very easy to figure out. It is our of 600 pts. Your homework average is 100 pts, your 4 tests are 400 pts, and your final is 100 pts. From 520-600 pts is an A, 540-519 is a B and so on. He also replaces your lowest test grade with the grade you make on the final, which helps. |

MATH 1111 College Algebra
Dr. Teachey is AWESOME!! She is really nice and I enjoyed her class. She is very enthusiastic about Math....she really enjoys teaching it. I had her at 8am and she made me not mind having to go. She takes attendance, but it doesn't count toward your grade. She gives quizzes which aren't too bad. She takes up every minute of class time and sometimes goes over that is how passionate she is about math. She is very kind and cares about her students. She is really great. |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
Professor Teachey is so awesome! She is a Tarheels fan like no other. She is a great teacher she is very explanatory in her lectures. Also she is always available to you, if you are struggling or need extra help she makes herself available to you. She truly cares about you and that you are learning. She LOVES math. I am in my view a terrible math student. I actually get excited about going to class because I know that with her style of teaching the math IS within my reach if I work hard and ask for help when I need it. She goes above and beyond when asked and even in her preparation for class she goes above and beyond just because she cares! There are about 10 pop quizzes 2 are dropped, 4 tests(100pts each), and the final(150 pts)and textbook homework is assigned but not checked but if you do not do it you can't really ask questions for help and you do have checked homework in MyMathLab. I highly recommend Dr. T. You will not regret taking a class taught by her. |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
She explains the material very thoroughly, breaking it down and making it easy. She tells why a formula works instead of just telling you to memorize the formula. Dr. Teachey always makes herself available to the students, and she definitely cares about teaching as her #1 priority. She doesn't want you to merely get through math; she wants you to understand math. Unfortunately, Dr. Teachey has taken a teaching job in her home state and will be leaving KSU, so I won't get a chance to take her for any more math classes. |

Great experience in taking this course. I made a pretty easy a. Just four tests and some required homework. He made class enjoyable and went out of his way to make us laugh. |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
- extremely fair- kind & fun approach - very organized teaching, homework giving, quizzes, exams- makes the material taught very understandable- pre-printed lectures -> less time spent on writing notes/more time to listen and understand- gives possibilities to strengthen grade e.g. mathxl hw, easy quizzes |

MATH 1111 College Algebra
he willingly will go over as many examlpes as you need him too. also he will answer questions during the exam if the wording confuses you. after and before class he is open to questions and will openly explain things to you on the board. everything he says during class, he writes on the board so he is easy to follow and take notes. he uses my mathlab for homework. if you are confused, my mathlab has various examples and it allows you to get a 100 on every homework assignment. his exams cover exactly what he goes over in class. his exams arent tricky. they are straightforward and fair. he doesnt take attendance. if you struggle with math, i would recommend for you to take this professor. he will help you tremendously. if you are great at math and you want to go fast and be challenged do not take this professor. if you are good at math and want an easy class, take this professor. |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
His teaching style is clear and precise. He will answer any question you have directly. You will have a great understanding of what will be on the test if you complete the homework online. |

Professor Hippchen is my favorite teacher. He teaches concepts very slowly and does not speed through the material. He will answer anyone and everyone's questions. He's extremely friendly and is always available for consult. I would highly recommend him. |

MATH 1111 College Algebra
Great teacher! I am a non traditional student who struggled through the remedial math courses. Taking Ms Hardy for my first college level math class was the best decision I've ever made. She used her free (and most likely uncompensated) time to conduct three different help sessions each week. She kept in constant email contact. She made her own notes to reinforce/explain what we were learning (since the book seemed hard to read.) She was always available to help/answer questions. She genuinely cares about her students. As long as you show a willingness to help yourself/ put in the work, she will do her part to make sure you "get it." |

MATH 1111 College Algebra
I had a good experience with this professor. She is happy to answer questions if you have some and willing to help you during her office hours to help you understand what you need to work on. She is organized and lets her students know what is expected. Expect a lot of homework (it is an algebra class) and the homework is the key to learning and retaining this information. An extra bonus is that if she gets done a little bit early she lets you go to study. I would take this instructor again |
