MATH 1111 College Algebra
She is one of the BEST math teachers I have ever had!! I can't say enough. She really cares about your success and understands that not everyone is strong at math. She hands out a syllabus at the beginning of the semester and sticks to it. Each class, she teaches a new lesson from the book and assigns homework covering the material. Although homework is assigned each class, the homework load is reasonable so long as you take good notes. She works out every problem on the board and makes even the most difficult material seem easy. I learned so much from her. If you don't understand something, feel free to ask her in class. She is more than willing to work it out on the board. |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
She explained all the lessons in detail. the class begins by asking questions on the homework. You usaully do 1-2 lessons per day. You have a week to do the Mathxl homework. There is usaully a quiz each week, which are 10 points, but 11 questions and no partial credit... she does give partial credit on tests though. her tests are pretty easy.. your final grade will replace the lowest test grade. her attendence policy: each day will count minus one on a quiz grade, and that quiz grade will replace your lowest quiz score. you don't have to bring your book to class which is nice! |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
Professor Ragsdale is wonderful! She is very helpful; she explains everything very thoroughly and will go over a problem as many times as it takes to get you to understand. The homework from the book is optional and the homework online is super easy! |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
She always offers extra credit. Her notes are very clear. Easy final. Don't even need the book, all HW is on MathXL. |

MATH 1111 College Algebra
Professor Feldser is honestly the kindest math teacher I've ever had. He understood that this class (MATH1111) was designed for marketing students who don't normally do well in complex math, and taught according to our needs. He would often teach two or more methods for the same type of problem, which I thought was fabulous. He's always ready and willing to answer questions you have or just rap about your bad day. I love him! |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
Prof. Feldser is awesome! He is available and will take the time to explain any questions. I took this course online. The last math class I had was in the 1970s. I was a little afraid but Prof. Feldser made the class easy to follow. He has 4 exams. We met on Saturdays for the exams and the time window was 6 hrs. (10-4p). We could take the entire 6 hrs. if necessary. If you couldn't attend on Sat. then he would arrange another time for the test. The tests were multiple choice (20 questions) and show your work (5 questions). He gave you back your tests for you to use to study for the final. He also posted an answer key. There was homework using MathXL. There was no reason not to get 100 on the homework because you could work the problems until you got them right. It did take a lot of time to work the homework, at least for me. Also, if you did the homework and did well on the first 3 tests he exempted you from the final. I would take a class with him again, in fact I signed up for his Math 1106 class for Spring semester. |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
I love Mr. Feldser! He is the best math teacher I have ever had. He used MyMath Lab, which requires some time, but it is really helpful. He is really open to helping anyone, and he wants everyone to do well. He's great! |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
It's online, so I can view lectures or do homework on my time. I didn't have to sit through the first month of lectures on stuff I already knew!!!!!! :D I was able to do the first month's homework (which was easy review for me) in less than 4 hours. Definite time saver. Homework uses MyMathLab...about 12-20 problems to solve every week with an unlimited number of attempts to get them right! 3 exams and a final....lowest grade gets dropped. All are multiple choice! Students in the top 10% of class grades after Exam 3 are exempt from the final! |

She is a good teacher. She goes out of her way to explain the material. Classwork and homework was fair. Attendance was helpful but not necessary. |

MATH 1111 College Algebra
Excellent professor. Incredibly kind and approachable. Always had a smile on her face and would greet each person by name as they entered the class. Taught the material very well. Not easy by any means, but she explained the concepts very clearly. Show up to class, pay attention, and don't be afraid to ask questions if you're having trouble...her patience knows no bounds. She really cares about her students. Take her; you won't regret it. |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
Ms. Jenkins is an excellent prof. She explained the material well. Is very caring and sweet. If you do all your homework and know the material you will get a good grade. She is more than willing to help if you don't understand. |

he willingly will go over as many examlpes as you need him too. also he will answer questions during the exam if the wording confuses you. after and before class he is open to questions and will openly explain things to you on the board. everything he says during class, he writes on the board so he is easy to follow and take notes. he uses my mathlab for homework. if you are confused, my mathlab has various examples and it allows you to get a 100 on every homework assignment. his exams cover exactly what he goes over in class. his exams arent tricky. they are straightforward and fair. he doesnt take attendance. if you struggle with math, i would recommend for you to take this professor. he will help you tremendously. if you are great at math and you want to go fast and be challenged do not take this professor. if you are good at math and want an easy class, take this professor. |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
His teaching style is clear and precise. He will answer any question you have directly. You will have a great understanding of what will be on the test if you complete the homework online. |

Great experience in taking this course. I made a pretty easy a. Just four tests and some required homework. He made class enjoyable and went out of his way to make us laugh. |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
- extremely fair- kind & fun approach - very organized teaching, homework giving, quizzes, exams- makes the material taught very understandable- pre-printed lectures -> less time spent on writing notes/more time to listen and understand- gives possibilities to strengthen grade e.g. mathxl hw, easy quizzes |

Her quizes and tests were fair and to the point. No tricks. She gave lots of opportunities to get extra points. Her emails were incredibly responsive and helpful. She replaced a test score with the final test score if the final score was higher. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable, she was really into teaching the material and it showed. |
||

MATH 1111 College Algebra
I have to give Ms. Scar high marks as a teacher; she makes learning this stuff so much easier! I had Ms. Scar for Math Modeling 1101 and then transferred into her College Algebra 1111 class from Pre-Calculus, which moved waaaay too fast for me. Ms. Scar emails outlines for each chapter to you ahead of time, takes each section at a time and explains it all thoroughly. She welcomes questions and tries to explain problems and solutions in different ways to help you understand it better. She relates what we've learned to far to what we will learn next and how it all comes together. Ms. Scar used My Math Lab for homework assignments, as well as some questions from the book. The Math Lab homework was part of your grade, but I would advise also doing the problems from the book to help you understand the concepts. She takes attendance every day, and gives a very short daily quiz on the previous day's section. She updates you on your grade after every test (there are 4 of them and a final that covers the entire semester.) She has review days and study sheets, which really help. I highly recommend her and would take all my Math classes from her, if she taught them! |

He is willing to meet you to help anywhere and anytime possible. If the majority of the class is having a hard time with something, he tends to only ask questions on that subject, on his tests.quizes, from sample problems in the book. He takes attendance and if your attendance grade is higher than your lowest quiz grade, he replaces it. Also, 90% of your final exam may replace a lower exam. Ten or so quizes with six tests or so plus homework and attendance to help your grade. |

MATH 1111 College Algebra
I took his math 1111 class during the summer after previously failing it with another teacher. I hate math so I was dreading his class, however, it went much better than i ever expected. All of the homework and tests were online...At the end of the semester if you have an A average on the tests, you are exempt from the final and automatically receive an A in the class. He is very flexible and willing to help, not concerned with attendance, and he makes sure you understand the material. A very generous grader. All of our tests were online so we could take them from home. Also, there was no time limit and we could re-take them up to 3 times. Seriously, i am worse than anyone at math - if i can get an A, he must be an OK teacher!... |

Professor Hippchen is my favorite teacher. He teaches concepts very slowly and does not speed through the material. He will answer anyone and everyone's questions. He's extremely friendly and is always available for consult. I would highly recommend him. |

MATH 1111 College Algebra
Great teacher! I am a non traditional student who struggled through the remedial math courses. Taking Ms Hardy for my first college level math class was the best decision I've ever made. She used her free (and most likely uncompensated) time to conduct three different help sessions each week. She kept in constant email contact. She made her own notes to reinforce/explain what we were learning (since the book seemed hard to read.) She was always available to help/answer questions. She genuinely cares about her students. As long as you show a willingness to help yourself/ put in the work, she will do her part to make sure you "get it." |

I recommend Professor Noring, if self teaching is a strong ability or to get extra help outside of class. He gives every opportunity to receive an A. Personally, I had a difficult time following his teaching. |

MATH 1111 College Algebra
He teaches the material very well and if anyone has a problem he will continue to teach a subject until everyone has an understanding. Also, he allows you to drop your lowest quiz grade which is a major help and his attendance rule can help anyone who is struggling. His rule is that attendance is not required and doesn't count for any portion of your grade but if you do continue to go to all the classes and are still below an 80, he will give you a attendance booster in your final grade which may help if you go to a majority of the classes. |

MATH 1111 College Algebra
She grades fairly, giving half credits and such. She takes daily quiz grades but gives you a bonus on each quiz. If you rack up enough bonus points and you need to miss a day she will take those bonus points and use them as a daily quiz grade. She teaches in a way that is understandable and if you have questions she answers them in the best possible way. |
