MATH 3315 Critical Content Of Ece Math I
I have never learned so much useful information in 1 class. I walked away from this class with a new understanding and appreciation for math. This is not a class for those who are lazy and try to get by with little or no effort, but it is one for those who want to truly understand math. We had 2 test and a final. Her tests are not multiple choice (except part of the final) and just knowing the answer is not enough. You must be able to explain why. There were a couple of quizzes but notice was given. We had to write 1 math lesson plan and 1 paper. There were also in class group worksheets and you pick 6 weeks to write a reflection on what you have learned and what you do not understand. If you want to learn and you are willing to work then you should take Dr. Banker.

MATH 3315 Critical Content Of Ece Math I
I liked Dr. Banker's demeanor. She is very knowledgable about what she teaches. She did a lot of handson activities to help to explain the thought process of young learners. We had a few surprise quizzes which we had to take the next class period, 2 tests, one final that consisted of a 60 point take home and a 140 point in class multiple choice exam. She also required 6 reflection assignments for 30 point total (this consists of answering three online questions and email them to her), 3 page paper and lesson plan worth 40 points each, attendance worth 30 points, and she gave several extra credit assignments that we could take home to help boost our grade. Dr. Banker expects you to act like the adults that you are, and she loves what she does. If you are looking for an easy A, this is not the class for you. You do have to do your part as a student (show up, do your work, and study) and a teacher to be. Dr. Banker can be a bit moody at times (but show me a woman who isn't). I would take another one of her classes.

I took Dr. Banker for 1101, after not having any math in over 18 years. She explained everything until I understood, and was always available during office hours, and also by appointment. If you are looking for someone to take you by the hand and spood feed you algebra, this is not the teacher for you. If you are an adult and want to be treated like one, and are willing to work, turn in your assignments complete and ontime, then you will enjoy Dr. Banker's class. Dr. Banker does everything in her power to help raise your grades, with small assignments here and there, all you have to do is do them. There were 3 tests, one group project, ( very simple if you pay attention) and a cummulative final, on which we were allowed to use a 3x5 card with any information we wanted on it. I would highly reccommend Dr. Banker to anyone that is mature enough to be responsible for themselves, and is willing to work hard, as she will work hard right next to you to ensure you get the grade you strive for.

She is a good teacher! If you are not so great in math then she is your best bet, she does not zip through anything. There are 4 test, one of which is a group test and one is the final. The final is cumulative, but she will give the class a study guide for each test (if the class asks for one, so take advantage). She gives you lots of extra grades to help bring your grade up, which includes homework, group work (in class), one group project (very simple), and she also requires you to write a few papers on handouts she gives (2 pages max. They are not hard and they are just to help with your grade. I totally suggest this teacher if you struggle with math, like me. But, if you are extremely good at this subject then you should take someone more challenging. This is an easy A or B.

Dr.Banker was great. I would highlt recomend her. SHe is very good at explaning math. I made a B in her class and for that is great. I took the same class in fall and had to drop it. She is great so take her if you have the chance

Teresa Banker
She's awesome! What else can I say. I went from failing every math class that I took to excelling in this class and making an A. I wish that I could have a teacher like this for every math class that I had to take. She teaches math so that you can understand it. She's not one of those teachers that has so much knowledge of the subject that she doesn't get how you don't understand something. I mean I'm sure she knows a lot, but she still remembers how it was to be us too, and that's why she can teach so well. You should take this teacher. She's fair and kind and an awesome teacher.

When you are looking for a teacher with high probability, Dr. Banker is the mathematical solution. Dr. Banker keeps you together as a whole when your math knowledge is only fractal parts. She is wonderful to learn from.

Dr. Banker is fair, honest, and has good intentions but can be hard to understand at times. I think she would be a better teacher for a higher class, instead of a freshman class. At times, she assumes students know everything she does and does not explain well. Aside from that, she makes every effort to help you get an A. Her tests were fair and easy if you studied the study guide. Shes gives 4 tests. One was a group test and the Final was cumulative. Dr. Banker gives plenty of opportunity to raise your grade. She gives extra credit simply for emailing her every week and telling her what you learned. She also gave us several global warming papers to write (only 2 pages doublespaced) which helped a lot. She gives homework every once in awhile, but always tells you if she will grade it or not. Dr. Banker is great about asking questions and always offers appointments outside of class for extra help. This class should be an easy A or B, but if you are shaky with basic algebra it might be a bit tough.

Teresa Banker
Dr. Banker is a terrific teacher. Especially I like the way she gave extra credit through weekly emails. In order to get extra credits, you have to email her every fridays and tell her what you've learned. Through this process, you could asked her questions and you learned alot too.

Teresa Banker
teaches the material very well, and makes shure that you understand what is going on. she is very open to questions and loves for people to get involved. However, she will not take you by the hand and give you a passing grade. If you are willing to put forth a reasonable amount of effort you will do just fine.

MATH 3315 Critical Content Of Ece Math I
At first I was really scared to take this class after seeing bad reviews about Dr Banker, however the class was great. I learned so much and she is pretty nice. She doesn't make the class too easy and yes you have to think and stay on your toes. She asks questions to see if we understood ( I could tell that bothered some people but I really liked that). Some of the questions seemed so hard but the answers were obvious, so that took a little getting use to. Overall she is a really good teacher, I have learned how to think more from a childs perspective when teaching. I would take Dr. Banker again.

MATH 1101 Intro Mathematical Modeling
I took Dr. Banker during the summer and LOVED the class. She teaches at a pace that everyone can follow. I learned so much in this class! I read some of the negative reviews for Dr. Banker and I just have to say that it was just not the case in our class. She treated students with respect and demanded it for herself. Who doesn't? The class wasn't a breeze, it was hard work. I made an A. If you show up for every class and pay attention and ask questions, there is no reason not to make a good grade in this class.

Teresa Banker
Banker is a good teacher for all levels of math knowledge. Everything that is on the tests is reviewed in class so there are no surprises. We had three tests and the final and if your final is higher than one of your other three tests, she will replace the grade with your final. Only one bad thing, the final is cummulative. I would recommend her and I am going to try and take her for 3317.

Teresa Banker
Dr. Banker has helped me to pass this class. She has made other ways to improve your grade without relying on the tests. If you work hard and do all the assignments then you should be ok. Dr. Banker can get a little grouchy so its sometimes hard to approach her with questions.

Teresa Banker
she teaches well and doesn't give mandatory homework. pay attention in class and you'll be fine.
