Sample Degree Plan Courses

The following is a list of courses based on sample degree plan. Other requirements may be necessary to complete this degree.

History

Specific courses may count toward the fulfillment of more than one requirement.

All courses must be taken and any degree course group requirements (if any) must be met.

Advanced History Courses

Select at least 18 credits in courses numbered 300 or above, of which 15 must be taken in residence at UWM. 300 or above level courses selected to fulfill other requirements may count under this requirement.

Bachelor of Arts Requirements

All courses must be taken and any degree course group requirements (if any) must be met.

International Requirement

Students must satisfy the International Requirement by 1) completing three courses (at least 9 credits) in a single foreign language (not including literature-in-translation) at the 200 level and above, or 2) completing three non-language courses (at least 9 credits) with international content chosen from at least two curricular areas, or 3) completing 9 credits in combination from options 1 and 2.

Foreign Language

Completion of the foreign language requirement can be demonstrated by satisfying one of the following options:

Grade of C or higher is required. You may not take this credit/no credit.
