Superb instructor!!! I actually learned calculus in her class. Excellent lectures! Sanity saving reviews! There are options in doing well in her class, simply keep up with homework and attendance and you will do fine. What more can you ask for??? (Please save your needs to yourself!) :) Andrea your awesome and professional! ~G (a unique name)

MATH 2412 Precalculus Functions and Graphs
O.K. so I took this instructor because she was the only one who had good reviews for precal. They were kind of true. I do love her grading. Four tests and an optional final. If you are happy with your grade after the fourth test you don't have to take the final. You take the final if you want to drop one of your low test grades. Do the homework. It's optional but she gets a lot of her test questions of the homework, plus its helpful. You can also turn in three homeworks which allow your tests to count at a smaller percentage. Very nice and understanding instructor. I would still recommend her and if you just took college algebra 2 or less semesters ago, take her. You would do just fine.

Pre Calc.Ms Blum loves her work. I learned a lot of different ways to solving Math problems from her. She is very patient with students and answers all questions and explains material into detail to students' understanding like a math teacher supposed to. REVIEWS Her reviews are the most energy saving ones I have encountered so far. If you want to do well in this class, take the reviews seriously. They really help. There are 4tests and a comprehensive final. Use the final to replace one of the tests. You can also count homework towards your grade.

MATH 1332 College Mathematics
She really knows how to teach, and is patient if you are not getting what she teaches right away. Don't be afraid to ask questions, she is willing to answer it! Her class is very structured, she breaks the semester into 4 units. In each unit she covers about 3 different topics and hands out a homework schedule for each unit. There are review days before the test. She hands out a review packet that has the same kind of questions that were taught and given in the homework. If you understand the review and can work the problems, you will do just fine on the test because they are very similar. The test is given in class, but she doesn't limit you to the class period if you haven't finished in time. Do the homework because it will not only help you understand the material, but it counts as much as a test, which is about 18% of your grade. Class participation is 10% of the grade which is easy to get. She usually wants the class to work in groups on a few problems that she lectures about to turn in (but not for a grade, just to see how you're doing), but you don't have to work in a group if you don't want to, she just prefers it. Optional comprehensive final if you want to replace a bad test grade or if you miss a test. Do well on all 4 tests and then you don't have to worry about a comprehensive final! Easy A if you ask me!

MATH 2413 Calculus I
For Calculus I Andrea was an excellent teacher. She is well organized and always willing to help either during class or during office hours. The homework was not excessive and due at test time. She hands out a test review prior to each and the tests are very similar. There are no surprises. Homework can count as a test grade along with the 4 tests and the final replaces the lowest test score. If you are happy with your grade you don't have to take the final.

MATH 1314 College Algebra
Andrea is one of the best math teachers, if not THE best I've ever had. She's very thorough and explains the material very well. She gives you an example of all the types of homework problems so you know what to do when you're at home. She's always available when you need her and she even offers up extra times if your schedule doesn't meet her office hours. She really cares about the subject and her students. The homework was a fair amount, and as long as you study for the test (work the review she gives out) then you'll be fine. She's not an EASY teacher, she's a FAIR teacher, so if you actually want to learn something, take from Andrea!

She is VERY approachable. She is always willing to work with you. She helps you in class, you only have to ask. I am horrible at math but she helped me get a good grade. There are 4 tests but you can drop one and add your homework grade. She gives the option of not having to do homework and just depending on your test scores. That really helped. I really enjoyed her class.

MATH 1425 Business Calculus And Applications I
She is wonderful, I had her for bus cal. She is interesting to listen to & will anwser all your questions. Also homework is 20 percent of your grade, so do it! It will help your average a lot ( an entire letter grade). Go to class all the time cause its really hard to learn on your own. yOu should really know your algebra when taking this class, cause your really gonna need it. One more thing the final is optional, if you take it, it will replace your lowest test grade.

MATH 1314 College Algebra
Ms. Blum is a great professor and I would definitely take her again! She's friendly, patient and definitely knows her material. Sometimes she goes a lil too fast but all you have to do is let her know and she'll gladly slow it down. We only had 4 tests and an optional final. Homework is graded, and therefore expected to be done and turned in. On the flip side, she only grades 10 random problems within the assignment. On the tests, she will usually give the class a curve anywhere from 25 points. Anyhow, I just think she's a wonderful teacher. You will definitely have no regrets by choosing to take this professor.

MATH 1314 College Algebra
Andrea Blum is a good professor who explains all problems fully and if you still don't get it will explain it another way until you understand. One bonus is that she curves the tests for her College Algebra students (but don't take any higher math from her and expect the same treatment). I highly recommend Ms. Blum, she's awesome.

MATH 1314 College Algebra
Very kind, will go out of her way to assist you, not a very boring class which you may expect from a Math professor. Grading systems has 4 tests, with an optional final to substitute your lowest grade. Overall, I would recommend her for calculus.

MATH 2412 Precalculus Functions and Graphs
What a great teacher! She thinks about things in a smart way and will teach you that way. Sometimes she will ask a brain teaser question as a break. Her lectures are well organized and offers many examples to illustrate each topic. Homework assignments were quarterly and turned in before each test.
