Ms. Guyton is one of the best professors I have had at Texas A&M!!! She knows everything about finance and has a genuine desire for the students to learn. She designed this course for students to learn about real life and wants everyone to know and make informed decisions relating to the world of finance. She also really wants you to form your own opinins about the markets and doesnt force anything on you. On that note, this is a hard class. To be successful in this class you need to keep up with the quizzes and go to the review sessions before the test. Dont bother with 4.0 and go or tutor john. All you have to do is dedicate a little time to this class you will be fine. Copy corner has a packet of notes that has the previous exams. Do every one of those previous exams before the test ( when I say before I mean the week before the test if you try to cram all this material into the week of the test you will fail ). I got a 70 on the first test and then started doing the reviews and ended up with an A in the class overall. The project also really helps your grade dont neglect the project. I really dont understand why everyone is complaining, if you go to class, pay attention, and dont play around on the computer all the time you will pass just fine. If you don't know the material by test time, you haven't tried hard enough. Overall she's an amazing professor work the reviews before the test and you will get a B put in the extra effort and you will have an A no problem.

She has specifically tailored the course for A&M students and wants everyone to know informed decisions relating to the world of finance. Don't get me wrong, the class is tough, but she teaches everything extremely well. To all of the complainers, maybe if they went to class, paid attention, didn't surf Facebook or play on their iPhones, the material might actually make sense. If you don't know the material by test time, you haven't tried hard enough. She's a great prof, highly recommended!
