BIO 370 Evolution
Pros
Dr. Hedtke is really nice, funny, and chill. She knows her stuff. Her lectures are mostly interesting. Your grade includes 4 exams, discussion section, and iClicker questions. She is always available outside of class and is very good about answering emails (even at midnight the night before an exam!)
Cons
Though the material seemed easy during class, her tests are ridiculously tricky. You may know the material well but not know the answer to her circle all that apply questions.
BIO 370 Evolution
Pros
Her lectures are tolerable. She is really nice and tries to keep them entertaining. She takes participation each class with iClickers but even if you miss a few classes, as long as you get the questions right on the days that you are there, then you should be fine. She will always have questions on the test that come directly from what she talks about in class and are not on the powerpoint slides so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND going to class everyday. She will usually start the class by writing in the blackboard and reviewing the last days material so you should write all that down. Also, take good notes on the specific examples that she talks about b/c they will probably show up on the exam. Theres also always questions over the discussion readings. Overall, she's a pretty good professor and teaches the material with enthusiasm.
Cons
The tests are graded pretty tough, they take off points for little things which makes it hard to do well on the tests. She does curve on each exam, but its not much, usually around 3-4 points. The discussion sessions and the readings assigned for them are very boring but you have to read them b/c they are on the exams.
