Lecture, three hours. Requisites: courses 11, 101. Use of rigorous economic tools to analyze world of technology and e-commerce. Examination of economic theory, empirical analysis, and case studies to study variety of new markets. Topics include bidding in online auctions, two-sided markets, matching markets, and reputation mechanisms. Written case on one particular firm and presentation required. P/NP or letter grading.
