Course Description

3.1 Avg. GPA

Three versions: World, British, American. Introduction to masterpieces of the literary tradition, emphasizing historical, generic, thematic connections. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Large sections require an additional discussion hour a week. Only one of the following may be counted: Comparative Literature 315, English 603B, 316K, Tutorial Course 603B. Only one version of 316K may be taken for credit. Prerequisite: Completion of at least thirty semester hours of coursework, including English 603A, Rhetoric and Writing 306, 306Q, or Tutorial Course 603A, and a passing score on the reading section of the Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA) test.
