  Pros: She is good for those who are already good at chemistry and know chemistry. She is good for those who learn mainly by listening and can remember what they hear without writing down anything. She is good for those who can study chem I side by side with her intro topics. Her tests are harder than homework. She is is good for those who like math. After the first few weeks, this is mostly a math class. She is good for those who will never miss class and never have problems in life that may cause them to stumble. She is good for those who do not like or want to ask questions. She is good for those who do not want or like humor in the classroom. She is good for those who already good at chemistry (repeated for emphasis.) If you have a documented disability from the office of students with disabilities, this teacher is for you...she likes disabled...especially learning disabled students.

  I've already taken Chem I before I took this (I had to because I wanted mainly to take the lab which was linked to the lecture, so I guess this was a refresher course). I had Sackett for both the lecture and the lab, and having her for both was pretty fun. Your grade in the lecture course was completely dependent on your performance on the tests, but they're REALLY easy PROVIDED you understand what you're doing in the homeworks (they're not graded, but they'll give you an idea what will be on the test). Although you don't have to, you should still go to lecture to get a greater understanding. In the lab portion, she basically tells you the whole procedure at the beginning, but even if you get stuck somewhere, she'll always help you out.

  He definitely knows his stuff, and is pretty understanding as an instructor. If you survive the class, you'll probably know your chemistry better than most.
